ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Kendra

Born and Raised in Wisconsin.
Found Community in New Hampshire.

I was born and raised in Kaukauna, WI (perhaps best known for its delicious spreadable port wine cheese), a small city steeped in time-honored midwestern values of tradition, hard work, and family. After my K-12 public school education, I attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, where I majored in English Literature. Like New Hampshire, Iowa offered many opportunities to see and meet political candidates due to the first-in-the-nation caucus, and I made every effort to see every primary candidate - regardless of their political party - who came within close proximity to my college. It was an excellent opportunity to better define (and challenge) my beliefs about community, humanity, and the role of government in our lives.

After college, I moved to the East Coast and never looked back. I went to Law School in Boston and after living in the Boston-area for a decade, my family moved to Deerfield, NH to raise our daughter in a Town with values similar to my hometown - tradition, hard work, and family. Immediately after moving to Deerfield, we got involved in the Town and discovered a community of hard-working, devoted, and tirelessly optimistic people who we now think of as family.

When I am not spending time with my family or working, I am often taking part in our community. I am currently the Chair of the Deerfield School Board, a member of the Zoning Board, a volunteer at the Swap Shop, an enthusiastic pickleball player, a regular at the farmer's market, a teammate in the adult softball league, a knitter/crocheter at the library fiber arts group, a kayaker in our beautiful lakes, and a friend to many.

In my other limited and precious free time, you can find me walking my dogs, hanging out with my small flock of chickens, and doing DIY projects at my house.

Mom. Wife. Community Member.
