ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Kaukauna, WI (perhaps best known for its delicious spreadable port wine cheese), a small city shaped by time-honored Midwestern values: tradition, hard work, and family. After attending K-12 public schools, I went to Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, where I majored in English Literature.

Like NH, Iowa offered a unique opportunity to meet political candidates up close. I made a point of seeing every presidential candidate, regardless of political party, who came within reach of my college. Those experiences gave me the chance not only to hear different ideas, but to question and challenge my own beliefs about community, humanity, and the role government should play in our lives. They taught me to listen before judging, to stay curious, and to engage with people whose perspectives might be different from my own.

After college, I moved to the East Coast and never looked back. I attended law school in Boston and spent the next decade in the Boston area before my family moved to Deerfield, NH. We chose Deerfield because it reminded me of home: a place where people work hard and value community.

As soon as we arrived, we got involved. We found our place among hard-working, devoted, and tirelessly optimistic people who show up for their neighbors and pitch in whenever something needs to be done. Over time, those neighbors became friends, and those friends became family.

That spirit of community is what brought me here and it is what motivates me to run for State Rep. I believe in showing up, doing the work, listening to people, and leaving our community stronger than we found it. Those are the values I grew up with in Wisconsin, carried with me through Iowa and Massachusetts, and found again here in New Hampshire.
